Puustelli and trend expert Stefan Nilsson have unveiled the new Trend Kitchen 2026 – a bold, metropolitan-inspired design brought to life through deep red tones and the timeless strength of stainless steel. Stala is proud to contribute to the project, adding a modern look and a durable material solution to this distinctive kitchen concept.

Trend Kitchen 2026 combines expansive stainless steel surfaces with Puustelli’s red and burgundy cabinet fronts, resulting in a confident, expressive ensemble influenced by international gastronomy and contemporary Asian aesthetics. Glossy red tiles complete the look, creating a kitchen designed to evoke emotion and make a strong visual statement.

“Stainless steel is much more than a style choice. It’s a strong, hygienic, and easy-to-clean material — qualities appreciated both in professional and everyday kitchens,” says Paulina Kalbori from Puustelli’s Swedish marketing team. “When the cool elegance of stainless steel meets deep red tones, the result is a kitchen that feels both warm and modern.”

Stainless steel is a durable choice for worktops, breakfast cabinets, cover panels, and plinths, offering a lasting combination of design and functionality.

A Sustainable Choice – and a Strong Design Element

The stainless steel elements in the Trend Kitchen are manufactured by Stala. The material used, Outokumpu Circle Green® stainless steel, is one of the most sustainable options on the market — with a carbon footprint up to 93% lower than the global industry average.

“It’s inspiring to see kitchen design moving in a direction where aesthetics and sustainability go hand in hand,” says Anne Kanervo, Marketing and Communications Manager at Stala. “Puustelli’s Trend Kitchen demonstrates how sustainable materials can also create visually striking and emotionally engaging interiors.”

Stainless steel stands the test of time, both in quality and in appearance. It is also infinitely recyclable, making it an ideal material for kitchens where quality, longevity, and environmental responsibility are essential values.

In the Trend Kitchen 2026, stainless steel has even been used in the lower sides of the upper cabinets, adding a subtle yet distinctive detail that reflects attention to design.

Working Together for the Kitchen of the Future

Trend Kitchen 2026 is more than a design concept — it’s a statement about the future of sustainable kitchen design.

“We want people to see the kitchen as more than just a place for cooking — it’s an expression of lifestyle, values, and confidence in the future,” says Jonas Abelsted Eklund, Marketing Director at Puustelli Sweden. “Trend Kitchen 2026 makes a bold statement, but it’s also an invitation to make conscious choices that feel right — for yourself and for the planet.”

“At Stala, we’re proud to be part of shaping the kitchens of the future — where material choices are both beautiful and responsible,” adds Pasi Härkönen, CEO of Stala. “Our collaboration with Puustelli is a great example of how Nordic design, international aesthetics, and environmental responsibility can come together seamlessly.”

Trend Kitchen 2026 proves that bold design, sustainability, and timeless materials can go hand in hand — and that stainless steel remains one of the most enduring and responsible choices for the modern kitchen.
