Welcome to the website of Stala Oy. Users are requested to read these terms and conditions carefully before using this website. This Website may be used only for information. Anyone who opens and uses Stala Oy’s web pages undertakes to comply with these conditions of use. Use of the web pages is not permitted unless these user conditions are accepted.

Separate user conditions can be applied to individual documents or services contained in Stala’s web pages, in which case special conditions such as these may also be applied to these.

The User hereby accepts that Stala cannot guarantee the data security of any information submitted through this Website. Stala offer no guarantee that this Website, the webservers that maintain this Website, or electronic communications sent by Stala are free from viruses or other harmful elements. The User hereby accepts that Stala shall not be liable for materials or information that are sent or received by the User, or that are not sent or received by the User.
Stala shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, immediate or consequential damage or special damage, or for such damage based on tort liability (including damage arising from loss of business, contract, product or information or from interruption of business operations), arising from use of this Website or of the contents thereof, or from prevention of the said use, or from these terms and conditions, regardless of whether the said damage is based on an agreement, infringement of rights, recklessness or other grounds, and even if Stala was forewarned of the possibility of such damage. Stala shall likewise not be liable for any errors, inaccuracies, deficiencies or other defects, delays or lack of correctness of the information contained in this Website. The liability of Stala shall in any case not exceed the liability arising in accordance with mandatory Finnish legislation.
Information provided by the User
If the customer or another user of the pages decides to register to some part of Stala's pages, he/she undertakes to provide Stala with the information requested on the registration form. The User shall provide accurate details when transmitting the User's personal data to Stala through the Website. Provision of false information shall be prohibited and may occasion consequences for the party providing false information. The User hereby accepts that any personal data provided by the User through the Website may be processed by Stala in the manner permitted by personal data legislation.
Stala undertakes to observe the protection of its users’ privacy on principles concerning the information network, and the protection of the information given to the company by the users of Stala’s web pages. In processing the information, Stala will observe the Personal Data Act and other regulations in force in Finland aimed at individual data protection. Stala will use the information, which is delivered to the Stala’s web pages either on a form or by some other means, for supplying the services that the customer has requested. Stala aims continually to develop its web pages and, through them, to expand its range of services. Our goal is to provide services, which are designed to correspond to the particular needs of different customer groups.
When user of the pages decides to register to some part of Stala’s pages, the User will either select or be assigned a user name and password, for the secure retention and use of which the User shall be personally responsible. The User shall be responsible for all actions performed using the User's personal user space. The User shall be required to notify Stala immediately in the event of any loss of the User's user name and/or password, or if these come to the knowledge of a third party, and of all unauthorised use of the User's user space and other breaches of data security. Stala shall not be liable for any damage that may arise from misuse of the User's password or user space.
Data on Stala customers is recorded in the Stala customer register. The data in the customer register are used for maintaining and managing customer accounts. Stala and Stala’s retailers and sales representatives may use this information for marketing purposes or to inform the customer about other products and services, which Stala considers may be of interest to that customer. The customer has the right, at any time, to cancel the consent he/she has given for the intended use of such information for marketing purposes. The use of your personal information is based on your consent, which you have the right to retract at any time. Because the collection of personal information about web page users is necessary, so that Stala can offer its customers the products and services that they want, cancelling your consent might mean that we cannot provide you with some or any of our company’s products or services.
Stala will not submit any of its users’ personal information to persons or organisations outside Stala or its subsidiaries, partner companies, retailers or sales representatives. Through technical and practical considerations relating to the use of information, such information might be kept on the servers of subcontractors, or subcontractors might process the information. All Stala subcontractors are bound to the same principles as Stala, concerning the processing of information. Stala may provide combined statistics about its customers, sales, variations in visitor numbers and other information concerning its pages, to trusted third parties, but these statistics will not contain any personal user information. Stala always uses appropriate protection when handling such confidential information.
Undertakings of the User
The User undertakes to refrain from transmitting to Stala any information or materials that are offensive, intimidating, obscene, defamatory, unlawful or protected by copyright. Stala reserves the right to delete from the Website any information submitted by the User as Stala deems fit in its unfettered discretion. Stala may publish the material transmitted to Stala by the User free-of-charge and/or include the material or part thereof in its own products, without any responsibility or payment liability. Stala does not check the content of the material sent by the users of its pages, neither does it bear responsibility for it. Stala may, at its own discretion, at any time remove from its pages material sent by users.
Prices and modes of payment
The current prices for Stala*Webshop products are shown on the website. These prices include value-added tax. Stala*Webshop reserves the right to change prices and terms of payment.
The products ordered from Stala*Webshop will be sent by the credit card payment or by payment through webbank, and the current postage charge by weight will be added to the invoice total according to a scale currently beginning at EUR 13 per despatch.
Delivery period and terms
The delivery time will be about two weeks under normal circumstances, depending on the season and on the availability of the product. Deliveries are made in EU an Efta countries only. Sales may be made to persons under 18 years of age only with the written consent of a parent or guardian. Stala reserves the right to decline any order.
Guarantee and servicing
Stala issues a manufacturing defect guarantee for products that it sells through Stala*Webshop. Should any defect appear in an ordered product during the guarantee period, then the User should immediately contact Stala customer service unit by e-mail at webshop@stala.com or by telephone on +358 3 8221 133. The User must retain the invoice/order specification received at the time of the order, as this document also serves as a certificate of guarantee.
Right of exchange and return
All goods ordered from Stala*Webshop are subject to a 14-day right of exchange and return. In cases of doubt, please contact the Stala Oy customer service unit at the following address:

In Finland returnable goods may be submitted to the postal service for despatch as "customer returns". In other countries goods may be returned through the postal service to Stala at customers cost. The original despatch note or itemised invoice must be included with the returning consignment. The costs of the return despatch will be paid by Stala*Webshop. The returned product and its packaging must be in reasonable saleable condition.

Data security
The User shall have no right to
(a) use any devices or programmes that are capable of disrupting the function of the Website, (b) perform actions imposing an excessive burden on the structure of the Website (for example, sending mass mailings, i.e. sending junk mail), or (c) disrupt or manage the programmes and functions of the Website. Prohibited actions of this kind shall include installing in the Website Materials containing viruses, pre-set disturbance programmes, or other elements that are capable of influencing the software architecture of the Website.
Intellectual property rights
The copyright in this Website and in all of the Material contained therein is protected under international copyright laws and copyright conventions. The User shall be required to comply globally with all copyright laws when using this Website, and to prevent unauthorised copying of the Material.

Stala may include in this Website links to websites maintained by other parties. Use of links of this kind transfers the User away from this Website. Stala neither supervises nor checks the content of external websites, nor shall Stala be liable for the validity, reliability or data security of external websites. The User is advised to examine the terms and conditions of use and the user instructions of linked websites with care before using the said websites. The User shall use the linked websites entirely at the User's own risk. If the actions of the User may occasion liability to pay damages to the User or to Stala, then the User undertakes to apply all reasonable efforts to immediately minimise all possible damage that has arisen or that is arising.
Applicable legislation
These terms and conditions of use shall be governed by the law of the Republic of Finland. If Stala and the User are unable to negotiate an understanding on any point of dispute, then the said dispute shall be settled in the first instance at the District Court of Lahti. A User who is a consumer may, however, submit the dispute to the general court of first instance holding jurisdiction in the district where the User is domiciled. A User who is a consumer shall also be entitled to seek a recommended resolution to the dispute from the Consumer Complaint Board.
